The Student Takeover was created to help and inspire students from all across the UK. Myself (Daniel Derrick) and Alex Dwyer came up with the idea after a few drinks while in halls and the idea quickly became reality. It took a very long 6 months of planning before coming real and on the 24TH October 2013 we launched our very first Youtube video. Since then we have developed this wonderful website and have been working with students and communities to grow the service and are extremely happy with the progress so far.
We made it onto BBC Radio 1, have been featured on College’s and Universities home pages, gained valuable partnerships and have grown our team to around 10 people. From editors, Film Production, Bloggers, Web designers and even Youtubers and we are constantly on the look our for more!
We have decided to create The Student Takeover into a online community where we allow students to voice their opinions, help other students and also gain valuable experience that could grab the attention of employers or simply bulk up the C.V with work experience. We shall continue to grown The Student Takeover and we are really excited to put our new ideas into action.
We’d like to Thank You for using The Student Takeover and we hope we can turn it into a valuable source of information where students can learn from others or be part of something new and creative.
We always like to hear what you think. You can personally contact myself on daniel@thestudenttakeover.com
Thanks Again.
