The eye of a lens can capture some truly remarkable moments. Lucinda Grange demonstrates how there is no limit to an image. Using monumental figures of culture across the world in such a daredevil attitude; testing herself at the highest moments of her career (quite literally).
This young photographer uses her travelling experience to capture some stunning photographs of worldwide culture with the help of models and her own involvement within an image, being placed on the high points of the world. On the left we have Lucinda standing on the edge of the Transporter Bridge in Newport, Wales. With no support from any equipment visible this daredevil photographer captures breath taking angles. With the lens positioned opposite to the subject we take in the view from the subject’s eye. The high exposure from the rising sunset hitting Wales, almost outlining the view, forcing our eyes to follow the light round, taking in every element of the image creates a truly remarkable technique. As the light hits the old rusty frame it brings back the original gold effect of the breach, symbolising the restoration of Wales’s wealth and grace. It can be suggested that the tone of the image was used as if a youth was overlooking the world, thinking of giving up but seeing the rising sun hit their hometown restores their faith in the beauty of living.
